Oh, what a joy to serve these two love birds on their wedding day. Katherine is genuinely the sweetest person I’ve ever met,and so is her mama! I smile, because they were so gracious to work with me as I just had a baby, and so genuinely welcoming and loving toward my boy! We had SO much fun creating all of the special details she wanted for her wedding day, who wouldn’t love to work with an Art History major? Her color palette was perfect for Early Mountain Vineyards in late spring with lush greens, pops of creams and grays, rust orange, navy, and gold. A little cold snap didn’t stop these two from the excitement of making the most of their special day- we moved the ceremony inside and kept Katherine warm in a cozy fur stole.

Katherine had her favorite artist in her college hometown create these earrings for her. She also gifted her daddy with a gold dipped version of the ring she gave him as a little girl. Now that I’m a mama, my heart just melted when I saw how special their relationship is- Mr. Moore is a humble and genuine man that loves his family so well- I know a foundation that helped Katherine find a man that shares these same qualities!

Her something borrowed was this Swarovski crystal headband, and look at the blue on the bottom of those shoes!!

Mam’s silver chalice and tray was so perfect for taking their first communion as husband and wife!!

The funniest set of groomsment and the sweetest girls. They were such a blast!

Hand stamped place cards sat on top of moss on top of wine barrels. Katherine wanted romantic candlelight throughout the room during dinner, so we gave her just that. Each guest also received a jar of her favorite apple butter!

A few years before the wedding, David’s dad passed away. Wanting to make sure he was honored and remembered, guests were given cigars to smoke that night in his honor. If you look closely, you can see the boy’s favorite picture- fishing with their daddy. Mrs. Custer also found this framed hand-written paper that had goals for the type of man Mr. Custer strove to be in his briefcase, and it has become a staple in their home. From my time spend with their family, it was amazing to see the legacy he left to his family and all those celebrating that night that knew and loved him. 

Guests had a blast dancing to the tunes by this soulful party band, and sending out the bride and groom through a sea of sparklers!
