Nick and Katie wanted a wedding venue that was special - that they could continue to go back and visit in years to come. Getting married on Katie’s parent's property in Charlottesville was a no-brainer!

They wanted an outdoor, garden party, "last soiree of summer" feel to it, so Labor Day weekend was the perfect time to host the weekend of events. It was important to Katie that everything felt organically thrown together - flowers that looked like they bloomed right there on the land, fruits/vegetables as part of the tablescape decor, etc. They really wanted a fresh and organic feel tied with just the right amount of playful patterned textiles and clean lines. 

Our team had the perfect combination- Charlottesville mountains, rolling hills, and access to an incredible vendor team. We made sure that we arranged the layout of the event to showcase the property–a mountain view for the ceremony, cocktails in the barn, the best view for their powder firework introduction, and a second line stroll for guests to the reception tent. We angled the tent so that all of the guests could see the beautiful sunset before dancing the night away.

Katie’s family had several priorities- great food, a beautiful setting, and an energetic band. As a team that predominantly serves the South, we hear these priorities often. We see it as our clients inviting our team to learn who they are and what makes their story unique. We learned their family has a history in the food industry and a love for interior design, so we welcomed the challenge to create a tasteful menu and tablescapes that invited guests to feel special.
